In this episode, I speak with Brooke Broughton, President of the Leura Gardens Festival about this year's Festival.
The 55th Festival will feature glorious cool climate spring gardens, showcasing a particularly wide range of styles and sizes, and comprising new, returning and several old-favourite gardens.
Festival proceeds go to the Blue Mountains District ANZAC Memorial Hospital and other local health-related organisations.
6 days over 2 long weekends: 9:30am - 4pm
- Saturday 5th to Monday 7th October
- Friday 11th to Sunday 13th October
Combined ticket: $30 pp entitles you to visit ALL Festival gardens
Single garden ticket: $8 pp. Children 16 and under are free
Tickets may be purchased at the entry point of each garden (except Gardens 3 and 5), at the stand in Leura Mall near the Station and at Festival Headquarters located at 19-21 Fitzroy Street, Leura.
Eftpos facilities are available at Headquarters located outside Leura Fairways Retirement Village (19-21 Fitzroy Street Leura), at the Festival Stand in Leura Mall and at the Plant Sales.
Please note that strollers must not be taken into any garden, and children must at all times be accompanied by an adult. Dogs or other animals are not permitted to enter any garden. Visitors to gardens must stay on paths at all times and keep out of areas marked 'out of bounds'.
